Candid Conversations – Week 37

One way to recollect the mind easily in the times of prayer, and preserve it more in tranquility, is not to let it wander too far at other times. Brother Lawrence, The Practice the Presence of God

May we look at Sabbath, not as a rescue to the rest of the week, but the flat place at the top of the mountain you’ve been climbing toward all week. A day to fine tune his voice, remove the static, and take in the panoramic view of what He creates. He’s waiting to have a conversation with you. Are you listening or distracted?

Happy Sabbath Friends!

Love this for so many reasons. Thank you for listening and giving of yourself from the broad place…Praying blessings and clarity as you listen this Sabbath.

This version of the verse reminds me of the hymn, “I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses…He walks with me and He talks with me, and He tells me I am His own. And the joy we share while we tarry there, none other has ever known.” this is from memory – missing some of the lines, but you get the idea. Beautiful thought for this weekend!

Well, I’m TRYING to listen, TRYING to stay focused on HIM and not on everything else that’s on my everyday plate. HE IS “IT”…and I know it and so do many, many others Focusing on Him is my goal of life, so when I am in in heaven I can be accepted and received as a Lover of Him.

Sabbath keeping … a treasured gift we give Him, a much-needed gift we give ourselves. Thank you, Shelly, for always keeping this in front of us – where it belongs.

I’m stopping by for a visit via Sunday at Jumping Tandem today.

Still recovering from a virus infection and dealing with my chronic pain. But getting much comfort and inspiration today. Thank you.
