Still may thy sweet mercy spread
A shady arm above my head,
About my paths, so shall I find
The fair Center of my mind
Thy Temple, and those lovely walls
Bright ever with a beam that falls
Fresh from the pure glance of thine eye,
Lighting to Eternity.
~Richard Crenshaw (1613-1649)
Wherever your weekend plans take you, may you find the beauty growing from the cracks, a place to linger under the shady arm of His peace.
Oh Shelly, I could linger here for hours. The yellow, the light, the hint of pink. And those words. Could you have found any more perfect? The fair Center and beauty growing from the cracks. So much to see and breathe here today.
You are fast. Thanks Sandy, in my usual fashion, I had something completely different on my mind to post and it ended with this. Love that castle, hope people aren’t getting sick of it yet.
I loved it, too. Gorgeous and made my heart just desire even more and more to be there again. My husband wants to be in that viewing opportunity again, too. Money and time would make a difference. So blessed to see how blessed you are!
I think Sandy said it just right! So much beauty here in image and word.
This is such a lovely post =)
thank you and I appreciate your stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment.
Emeralds in the ordinary things.
Thank you.
Yes, the beauty is there waiting for our eyes to see it in the cracks. Appreciate your comment.
Oh Shelly, Shelly, Shelly…..I am so NOT getting sick of it yet! For those of us who will never be winging their way to England…..this is pure gold! Love the castles and gardens and interesting characters you met there. Do you have any photos of the ivy-covered cottages along those narrow back roads? My Gram was born in such a place and when I think of (Devon) England, that is what I picture most. I’m there now, in my own mind. :o]
So glad to know that Jillie. I do have some photos of ivy covered houses and trees, hope to post some eventually. Thinking about you and praying.
Mm, lovely. A quiet blessing this morning. Thank you.
So glad you could feel the stillness.
Such still beaty, I love how you have captured it with words and photos.
thank you Gayle.
I echo all of Jillie’s comments! Tired? Never! Please keep on sharing these….:)
Oh, you gals are making me smile. Thanks.
Beautiful photos and words. Thank you for encouraging my heart today 🙂
Smiling Shelly, thanks for visiting.
Simply beautiful! I can almost hear the birds singing too. 🙂
Blue herons fly in to feed on a grassy hill right across from the spot where I took that photo. Eventually I will share those photos too.
Yes, beauty in the cracks…breaking open stones for new life to push through. Beautiful images!
thanks Michelle!
I like the idea of beauty in the cracks. It’s so tempting to call those things weeds, but they’re really stubborn beauty.
Love that Megan, stubborn beauty - yes!
