Because Life is Crammed Full

by | May 26, 2012 | Saturday

Earth’s crammed with heaven;

And every common bush afire with God:

But only he who sees, takes off his shoes,

The rest sit round it, and pluck blackberries,

And daub their natural faces unaware

More and more, from the first similtude.

~Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Wherever your weekend holiday plans take you, may you feel full of heaven, overflowing with the taking your shoes off and dancing in the rain kind of joy.

Happy Saturday Friends!

Beautiful post and photography. What a blessing.

I want to be sitting on that bench right now. So serene.

Ah, you are both a poet (with a little help from Elizabeth today) 🙂 and a poetic photographer. Your pictures are gorgeous! And just think: One day heaven wil be crammed with earth, too–God promises both a new heaven and new earth. I long for the day when it and we will be fully restored. I cannot help but think of my beloved father whose spirit left his earthly abode to join Jesus…..this very weekend (May 27th) five years ago, Sunday. How I miss him and think of him every, single day. Five years here without him seems like an eternity……and yet Daddy experiences eternity with Jesus! Talk about a glory-crammed existence. And may we all, this weekend, think of those who have gone on before us and give thanks for their lives. Thank you for sharing, Shelly.

Thinking of you today as you think about your father. Praying he gives you memories of joy to celebrate.

I thought I would find some space to park, and take my shoes off…. and dance in circles with the daisies.

And I am glad I did. It is awesom eto select some gone by prose that I have missed.

I always love to read of your exchange with Ms. Lynn……. she has a lot of depth I feel I can’t wade into….. for fear that I will drown….. but I love to take the risk.

Perhaps my Savior will let me walk on water this way.

Thanks to you both…… and I love to collect emeralds from here……

        Hugs.

Sometimes the comments are like a separate blog post. You never know how the Lord might speak through a simple response. Glad you are blessed sweet lady.

    Beautiful.

  6. Pam@Writing...Apples of Gold

These photos take me into a blissful place… peace and beauty. Thanks for refreshing pictures and words. Love that quote.

      Pam,

How blessed I am that you directed me into this garden of emeralds. I could almost touch the words flowing in here, like yours, they are apples of gold.

I am retracing back issues, yet they never grow old….. like the Bible, it is always relevant, and there are spots to be poked at…. when at times, they lay dormant….. unexposed, hidden and unprocessed life episodes, joyful or sorrowful, needing a touch of sunshine or a refreshing breeze……. to heal, to celebrate, to thank and praise God for.
      Evocative and so soul restoring.

So you see, both you and Shelly, are making a poet out of me. Even in spur of a moment I could flit and fly like a butterfly. Yay!

I’m scooting over Michelle, making room for you. Can you feel that warm sun on your face? It’s Jesus looking at your heart and beaming.

“May you feel full of heaven, overflowing with the taking your shoes off and dancing in the rain kind of joy,” oh I loved this. My grand children do it all the time and so should we all. Loved this post. Hugs filled with joy to you my friend.

We learn so much from the reckless abandon of children don’t we? Oh, to have this kind of freedom from a child would be just awesome.

Love, love, love that quote! And the photos are scrumptious.

Thought you might like them. I think about what I’m going to post on Saturday and Sunday all week. They have become my favorite days to post because I love sharing photos. So glad you decided to do the Still Saturday community.
