Just In the Nick of Time

by | Feb 19, 2012 | Uncategorized

Then you called out to God in your desperate condition; he got you out in the nick of time.

He quieted the wind down to a whisper, put a muzzle on all the big waves.

And you were so glad when the storm died down, and he led you safely back to harbor.

So thank God for his marvelous love, for his miracle mercy to the children he loves.

Psalm 107:28-31, The Message

May you find safety in the one who rescues from troubles; the one who places you in the quiet of His embrace, whispers love over the shout of despair.

Peace this Sunday as you worship, friends.

SO beautiful… reminds me of when my husband was stuck in the middle of a lake with a storm over his head and he had to ‘row’ his boat back to shore. The dog jumped out and headed to shore before my husband could get there.

What a great picture of rescue you just gave me Sharon.

What a beautiful post. I love the photos you used for illustration; simply beautiful.

Thanks Debbie. I took those on the shore in Georgetown, SC after eating a nice lunch with some friends. A storm was on the way that day, it was blustery and cold.

    Shelly, these are perfect photos.

I kinda wish He wouldn’t wait until just the nick of time before getting me out of some of my desperate conditions. 😉

“So thank God for his marvelous love, for his miracle mercy to the children he loves.”

I know Nikki, me too. I read it in the NLT first and then out loud to my husband in the Message and we both loved it.

The Message Bible takes familiar verses and seems to personalize them, just for me. Yes, just in the nick of time. Love the photo story. Thank you.

    • Redemption's Beauty

I know Maureen, I often feel the same way. Glad you like the photos. I took them on a blustery day last week, very quickly. The sky, hidden under the clouds made the colors look so cool.

I love the mix of calm and power here… the quiet calm of the photos in contrast to the awesome, loving power of our God… just lovely…
