Enlarge the place of your tent,
and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out;
do not hold back;
lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes.

Beautiful!
Thank you sweet friend!
One of my most favorite scriptures. I am constantly asking Him for more, but I realize that often it takes stretching! Thanks for linking up.
Barbie, this one popped into my head when I was looking at this photo. It seems to come back to me in a prophetic way from time to time. Thanks for offering the link. It’s a blessing to link arms today.
Just when we think we can’t contain more of God – He surprises us with MORE of Him and His blessed Holy spirit.
Amen Robert! How true that is and I suspect that you only know that from personal experience. Blessings.
Love the pics and the scriptures!
Thanks Kathy. Nice to see you again.
Visiting from Sunday, and oh wow, this is a challenge. Thank you for it!
So glad we are linking arms at Deidra’s place. Yes, I find it challenging too. It stirs me up a bit and gets the adrenaline going in anticipation of what He is about to do.
This verse was foundational to our old church in Waco. Haven’t read it since we moved, six years ago. But it seems apropos to my word for this year: widen.
Came over from Deidra’s.
Lovely word I haven’t heard around the blogosphere yet Megan. And what a hopeful word: widen. The verse brings some memories with it for me too. Love the way God does that!
ohhhh so true!! Love the photo you put with this beautiful, challenging verse! Thank you for sharing!
Jodi, so nice to meet you here. I love it when God challenges His people to expand. So many layers in this verse like peeling an onion, exposing all areas of life.
What a great photo to illustrate this verse!
Debbie, I took that photo in your neck of the woods. It’s from the Biltmore in Central Phoenix. It was a beautiful sunny day . . . as usual!
Don’t hold back. And what a great photo to illustrate!
Thank you Sandra! Feeling like I am on a wild ride and not sure what it look like yet. If that makes sense?
One of my favorite scriptures and I love the photo….makes me look at the scripture a little differently.
Kelly, I wanted to take a photo of those umbrellas at the Biltmore for days and after we had time together, I went out with my camera. This was the only day they were actually opened when I was there! Cool huh? Happy Birthday sweet friend.
Amen!!!
Thank you for this amazing verse. Much needed today:))
Have a wonderful week…
Yay, love it when God does that. Thanks for being here Stefanie. You too!
Yowza! My goodness, what a beautiful photo and scripture pairing!
Thanks Deidra and for the share on Facebook too! So much creativity on that Sunday link-up. It was a great idea and so glad you decided to do it. I’ve enjoyed getting to look at all the photography and meeting new people.
I’m amazed at the various ways He illustrates His word for us, the sights He gives both inside our mind and in our eyesight. Beautiful, Shelly. In all kinds of ways.
Thanks Lyla! It’s been a pleasure interacting with you. Appreciate all your insight too! I am always amazed at the verses that come to mind when I look at photos now. I guess it surprises me how many of them are hidden in my heart!
Agreeing with Deidra….amazing pairing. Awesome post, Shelly. Thank you for this blessing!
Patricia, I read your story on Write to Done and it brought me to tears. A heartbreaking Christmas you turned into a lovely story. Well done! Thanks for your encouragement.
What a powerful verse!!! “Enlarge” and “do not hold back”…love it! And the color in that photo is amazing!!!
I don’t think I realized just how powerful until I started to meditate on it!
I love this photo!
I just replied to your email and it failed permanently. Weird! Anyway, here was my reply!
Hi Shelly,
I’m glad my site has sent referrals to you!
While in SA, we went to a project begun by a church. There is a preschool and also a place where women are taught to sew to make a living for themselves. They put their story on their artwork. This was done by a lady named Rose but unfortunately she was not there the day I bought her bag so I didn’t get her photo and hear her story. I hope you enjoy it.
Many blessings for the new year,
Shanda
Shanda, weird about the email reply? Thank you so much. I will look forward to getting it! Blessings.
This came at the perfect time for me.
Oh, the moments when God is pushing us to be more than we want to be. Expanding the tent into the unknown is scary…
Trusting His heart.
Thank you for this one.
Blessings!
Katie, so glad that God’s timing is always perfect in our lives. Yes, this expanding is scary but so fulfilling and I would rather risk with a bit of healthy fear than to stay stuck and miss fulfillment! So glad you stopped by . . .at just the right time.
