For by grace you have been saved through faith.
And this is not your own doing, it is a gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
For we are his masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand,
that we should walk in them. ~Ephesians 2: 8-10
Sometimes Christ reveals Himself in His people at the check-out counter in Forever 21, among the sweaters at Banana Republic, along the sidewalks of Charleston.

Because Christmas shopping is about more than just buying stuff!

Love these FUN photos: especially the dogs!
Thanks Shanda, appreciate your coming by and offering the link. I love those dogs too. Was walking along the sidewalk with my husband at dusk carrying a Starbucks and I happened to see them seated there through the window. I couldn’t resist!
He does reveal himself in places that we don’t expect…love this!
Learning to see Him everywhere, not just the expected places and ways that I usually see Him. And it brings so much joy and broadens perspective.
yes…His gifts. Like Shanda, love the dogs!
Yes, me too. Love those dogs. They made me smile, especially in light of my losing my dog to cancer more every day. Always a pleasure to see you in the comment box Dea!
love reading your post!
have a blessed Sunday!

Thank you, glad to meet you here. Blessings on your sabbath as well.
Oh, I sure hope it’s more about buying stuff… I haven’t started yet!
I know Lyla, I haven’t done much either but I am super relaxed about it this year. Keeping it small with Deidra and enjoying Advent.
What a great reminder to look for God’s masterpieces everywhere!
I started noticing the unique ways people expressed themselves through what they had on or how they did their hair. Their bold creativity inspired me!
Such fun photos, and unique way to go into this verse…love it!
I don’t think I have ever enjoyed shopping more. When I asked people if I could take their photo’s they were all so kind and gracious.
What a fun perspective on shopping – walking among women who are His masterpieces. And the dogs, too – they brought a smile. thanks.
Maureen, I saw those dogs through the window as I passed by the hair salon and went back to see if I really did see what I thought I saw. They were the owners dogs who learned to sit like her clients and wait on the sofa. Hilarious!
love these shots!!!!
Thanks!
A unique perspective, Shelly. I like it.
That dog sitting up on the end of the couch makes me smile.
Love your photos! How fun! It’s great when we can see God in the things like a day at the mall or out shopping.
Thanks Claresa, it is so nice to meet you. I guess it was easier to snap these pictures without my kids in tow to distract me. My husband is very patient!
